Fine Art Nude Photo Workshop in Iceland
- Allen Birnbach
- For private clients
Whether you have created photographs of the human form in the past, or if it is something you have always wanted to do, this nude photo workshop is for you. Working with acclaimed photographer Allen Birnbach, whose photographs have been recognized in leading publications and exhibited in galleries worldwide, you’ll learn his unique approach to building a collaborative environment where exceptional possibilities are realized in stunning images.
With the majestic, raw quality of Iceland’s landscape, the opportunities for fine art nude photography are unparalleled. Last year’s participants shot in geothermal pools, waterfalls, moss fields, glacial lagoons and tectonic plates. And our models are trained dancers, eager to create the most powerful images you can envision. The combination of location and talent is as good as it gets when it comes to positioning you for a successful shoot.
Add to that a teaching approach that is focused on one-on-one mentoring in a small group and you are bound to come away with a deep understanding of how to excel at fine art nude photography.
Allen Birnbach’s bio.
Allen Birnbach has been a widely recognized commercial and fine art photographer for over thirty years. His long-term interests in landscape photography and dancers were first combined in his series, “Defining Eden,” which explores the spiritual connection of the human and the natural world. Working with members of some of the most renowned dance companies both in the U.S. and abroad, Allen’s goal was to elicit a primal response to extraordinary locations. His new series working with bodypainting evolves from his earlier work to focus on more iconic and mythological imagery.
Allen’s images have been exhibited in galleries around the world, and are represented in numerous private and corporate collections. His work has been celebrated by Communication Arts, Photo District News, The International Color Awards, Photo Design, the Black and White Spider Awards, and appeared in numerous calendars and books, including “The World’s Greatest Black and White Photography, No.1.”
Allen teaches photography at UCLA Extension in Los Angeles, The Santa Fe Workshops, The Anderson Ranch and through private workshops.
