A Natural Eye Immersion in Iceland - Workshop with Eddie Soloway
A detailed pre-experience letter will be sent upon registration, but the following prerequisites and information are meant to help give you a foundation of understanding about the experience.
This Natural Eye Immersion is designed to honor the fact that you have given yourself a week in Iceland’s spectacular landscape. Short sessions will stir up the pot of creativity, review work you have made, and focus on the journey of getting an idea or feeling into and image, but the emphasis of the week will be on being immersed in the landscape. This experience is designed to give you quality time in a handful of locations as opposed to running quickly around Iceland. Add time on before or after if you want to further explore Iceland.
The experience is open to all photographers that have the commitment and excitement to be in the landscape exploring, contemplating, and creating new images. As the experience will not be about learning basic camera functions, you should learn these before you arrive. If you would like to participate in group image reviews you must bring a digital camera, a laptop, editing software (such as Photoshop or Lightroom), and all the peripherals necessary in the digital workflow. The letter you will receive will spell this out in more detail, but the key is you must know the digital workflow and be able to get your images from your camera into your laptop, edited, and sorted. You should be self sufficient in this. Do yourself a favor and do not buy a camera or a laptop or software a week before the experience. Photographers using film cameras and photographers using digital cameras but unable to perform the digital workflow are very welcome to attend.
