Think and Shoot Like a Travel Photographer, tell the story of Iceland from start to finish. Workshop with Rick Sammon
|
Content:
Our plan is to maximize time – in the field and in the classroom. So each day, just like professional photographers, the group will “chase the light” when the conditions are right. At some time during the day, when the light is not quite right, you will download your images and share them with your fellow participants. Rick will there to help you in the filed and in the digital darkroom.
At the end of the workshop, Rick will MC a show of the group’s work, during which participants can constructively comment on each other’s images. Private critique sessions will be held during the workshop.
During the week:
- Rick will offer advice on how to improve RAW files.... so RAW processing will be an important part of the trip.
- Rick will share his best Photoshop CS3 techniques.
- Rick will share his images from around the world in a slide show.
- Rick will also cover the beauty of HDR shooting
For every image Rick will offer a photography or Photoshop tip, or a photo-philosophy.
Who should attend the workshop:
Anyone interested in expanding their knowledge of digital imaging, as well as those who just want to have fun taking spectacular photographs.
What should participants bring a long:
Participants should bring all the digital photo gear (including a flash) they think they need to capture the beautiful landscapes (including close-ups) of Iceland, as well as the cityscapes. Bring more memory cards than you think you’ll need. Don’t forget your polarizing filter and tripod.
Also bring your laptop, card reader and cable, accessory hard drive (for image storage), and power adaptor plug.
Don’t forget your enthusiasm!
