Pre-launch of our 2013 International Media Workshops
We are pre-launching the 2013 workshop season with information about our International Media Workshops 2013, which have already been decided. This gives you a chance to pre-register without full commitment.We have felt increasing demand through the years, not the least after the our 2012 summer program, to provide information as soon as possible about workshops for the next year.
In September we will fully update the site with the 2013 workshops program, but until then, we want to give you an opportunity to pre-register!

At this time, we do not have the exact prices since we still have to finalize contracts with local contractors, but the prices currently published are what we hope will be the maximum prices.
As always, we do our best to lower the prices, but those who know the FocusOnNature – International Photography Workshops Program in Iceland, know that we run top notch “all inclusive programs” and do not cut prices that leads to a drop in standard and quality.
Because of this, your pre-registration is not a full commitment, but still gives you priority for a spot on one of our popular workshops if you register now. Should we already have a filled all available spaces in the pre-registration for certain workshops, we will let you know and put you on a waiting list.
If you register now we wil contact you when we have the full workshop program for 2013 updated on our website and ask you to confirm you registration.

Ben Willmore, Winter in Iceland.
Imagine entering a vivid blue ice cave that few humans have ever seen, while learning how to light and shoot such unique environments. Next up is a frozen waterfall. Iceland has so many that you’ll have the best to pick from. Learn to capture the Milky Way while light-painting the foreground elements to produce an amazing shot. We’ll even search out the Aurora Borealis (also referred to as the Northern Lights) where the night sky dances with color.

Sean Duggan, Creative Discoveries in Iceland
Discover the wonders of Iceland through the creative lens of photography with fine art photographer, author and digital imaging expert Seán Duggan. In this workshop you’ll explore the spectacular landscapes of this island, learning to improve not only your camera technique, but also your photographic vision and understanding of how to enhance your images in the digital darkroom.
Iceland has so much to offer photographers, and we’ll make the most of it during some of the longest days of the year with many more hours of the “sweet light” than usual. The excellent team at Focus on Nature will handle all the travel, meals and lodging so that we can concentrate totally on creative photography, focusing our lenses on majestic waterfalls, rocky coastlines, dramatic skies, vast glaciers, icebergs floating in a mirrored lagoon and decorating a black sand beach as natural ice sculptures, starkly beautiful lava plains beneath snow-covered volcanoes, boiling geothermal pools and geysers, pristine mountain highlands, rushing rivers and, of course, those beautiful Icelandic horses.
We’ll also explore our photography through critique sessions of the images we make during the week, discussing what works and what doesn’t and how we can make better photographs. Seán will provide demonstrations of how to improve your photos using Lightroom and Photoshop, including combining multiple images to create intriguing composites. The workshop will begin and end with hands-on digital darkroom sessions designed to help you get the most from your images and take your creativity to the next level.

Tony Sweet, An Icelandic Odyssey
Join us for our fourth consecutive year of exploring the vast and cool Icelandic landscape. Small farms, the wonderful Icelandic ponies, friendly people, magnificent water falls, and mind blowing landscapes are some of what is in store for this trip of a lifetime. With the modern “gold rush” to get to Iceland, our tour company, Focus on Nature, still stands alone as the best tour company in Iceland. Einar and his crew leave no detail unaddressed.
