Currency information:

The Icelandic currency is “Krona” (ISK; symbol kr), 1 kr = 100 aurar.

ATMs are available throughout the country.

Banking hours: Mon-Fri 0915-1600.

Credit cards: American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard and Visa are widely accepted.

Travelers cheques: Widely used. To avoid additional exchange rate charges, travelers are advised to take traveler’s cheques in US Dollars.
